How do I change or reset my email password?
Your email account is run by your email provider — Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, or whichever service your address is with — so passwords are changed and reset directly with them. Eyesurf doesn't provide or host email, so we can't see or reset an email password for you, but the reset links below will get you back in.
Reset with your provider
- Gmail: https://accounts.google.com/signin/recovery
- Outlook / Hotmail: https://account.live.com/password/reset
- Yahoo: https://login.yahoo.com/forgot
Each provider will verify it's really you. Having a recovery phone number or backup email on file makes this much easier — it's worth adding one while you're logged in.
After you change your password
Update the saved password on every phone, tablet, and computer that uses the address. A device still trying the old password can fail repeatedly and may temporarily lock the account.
Locked out of the Eyesurf portal instead?
Your Eyesurf portal password (for viewing and paying your bill at https://www.eyesurf.net/myaccount/login) is a separate thing from any email password. If that's the one you need, see https://help.eyesurf.net/en/article/how-do-i-log-in-to-my-eyesurf-account-customer-portal-help-1yoh56n/
A note on password emails
No legitimate provider — and never Eyesurf — will ask you to reply to an email with your password. If you receive an unexpected email demanding an urgent "security change" and you're not sure it's real, don't click any links; go to the provider's website directly instead.
