Do I have to pay for a modem or router?
Your modem and Wi-Fi router are included free with every Eyesurf cable and DSL plan — there's nothing to pay to rent them, and no deposit. On fibre plans the modem is $10/month to rent, or $150 to buy outright.
There is also no activation fee and no installation charge. Your first bill is simply your first month of service, billed up-front when you sign up.

Renting vs. buying on fibre
Renting is the simpler choice for most people: if the unit ever fails, we replace it at no charge. If you buy the fibre modem outright it's yours to keep, so there's nothing to send back if you cancel — but any repair or replacement after that is at your own cost.
You only need to make this choice on fibre. Cable and DSL modems are always included.
Equipment you rent is ours
A free or rented modem is still Eyesurf equipment, so it needs to come back to us if you cancel or if we send you a replacement. Returns are free and you have 60 days.
A modem you bought on a fibre plan is yours and does not need to be returned.
Using your own modem
You're welcome to use your own modem if it isn't active with another provider and it's compatible with our network. Email support@eyesurf.net with the make and model and we'll check it for you. You can also connect your own router to the modem we provide.
